New Faces, New Places
The BBFASD Administration Team welcomes the following new administrators:
Mr. Christian Posset
Director of Physical Plant & School Safety and Security Coordinator
Mr. Posset attended Slippery Rock University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education/Social Studies. Shortly after, he earned his Masters in Educational Administration at Youngstown University. He started his educational career at BFMS as an eighth grade Social Studies teacher, then assumed the Dean of Students position at BFMS, followed by working at Central Elementary as the Assistant Principal for the past two years. Mr. Posset’s work and experiences, which include serving in the United States Air Force, have prepared him for his Director’s position.
Mr. Matthew Rizzutto
Mr. Rizzutto attended West Virginia University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology. He continued his studies at WVU to earn his Masters in Special Education. He started his educational career with the North Hills School District as a Special Education teacher in both learning support and emotional support classrooms. After teaching at North Hills for ten years, Mr. Rizzutto relocated to Washington, DC to work for Early Stages District of Columbia Public Schools as an Evaluation Coordinator. Mr. Rizzutto brings a wealth of special education knowledge and experiences with him to serve the BBFASD.
Mr. Roylin Petties
Big Beaver Elementary Assistant Principal
Mr. Petties attended Slippery Rock University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education/Social Studies. He then earned his Masters in Educational Leadership at Edinboro University. Mr. Petties started his educational career with the Midland Borough School District, where he was the Dean of Students, and then worked for the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, as the Supervisor of Attendance & Truancy. During his tenure, Mr. Petties handled discipline, participated in truancy hearings, completed home visits, organized transportation, and supervised safety drills and procedures. These experiences have prepared Mr. Petties for his role at Big Beaver Elementary.
